Our team offers comprehensive consultations and assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses, to provide appropriate diagnoses, and to work with individuals implementing various treatment options in order to help them succeed.   • Richard D. Abbey, Ph.D.

    Clinical Neuropsychologist

    Richard Abbey, PhD, is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist and psychologist with extensive training and experience as a clinician and researcher. He specializes in neuropsychological evaluation and treatment of children, adults, and seniors. Dr. Abbey is the director of neuropsychological services at Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic in Palo Alto, California.

    Dr. Abbey provides expert neuropsychological care for a broad array of conditions, from learning disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, and social communication disorder, to a variety of brain-related medical complications, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, cancer, epilepsy, and many rare health conditions. He also provides early detection of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other age-related conditions.

    As a respected researcher and lecturer, Dr. Abbey has made multiple presentations at international conferences and has published book chapters and professional journals. His research topics include dyslexia, ADHD, quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) brain mapping, and neurofeedback. 

    Dr. Abbey completed his neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and he was formerly a faculty member as a clinical neuropsychologist at Stanford University. He is board-certified in neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, and he is also board-certified as a diplomate in Quantitative EEG. In addition, he is a board member of the Scientific Advisory Board for LeaningRx.

  • Dr. Stephanie Abbey is a licensed psychologist, working with adolescents through adults. She provides therapy and works with a variety of concerns, including difficulties with relationships, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, body image, grief/loss, trauma, and sexual orientation. Dr. Abbey integrates issues of diversity and explores clients’ needs within the context of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. She has experience working in university counseling centers, community mental health centers, inpatient hospitals, and residential treatment centers.

  • Diana M. Barrett, Ph.D.

    Diana Barrett, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children, adults, and seniors. She is the director of assessment at Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic where she also provides neuropsychological care to the Palo Alto, California, community.

    Dr. Barrett provides neuropsychological assessment, consultations, therapy, parent coaching, executive function coaching, and interventions to patients of all ages. She has expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of conditions, such as learning disabilities, developmental disorders, autism spectrum, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

    After earning her doctor of philosophy degree from the University of Montana in Missoula, Dr. Barret completed an internship at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute in Salt Lake City. During her internship, Dr. Barrett gained experience providing care for children and adults at both in-patient and day-treatment facilities. 

    Dr. Barrett completed her post-doctoral training at the Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California. This training focused on evaluation and therapy services for children, adolescents, and families.

  • Julia Zubillaga, PsyD, is a postdoctoral fellow who specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of neurodevelopmental difficulties. She provides neuropsychological evaluation and psychotherapy to children and adults in the Palo Alto, California, community at Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic.

    Dr. Zubillaga works closely with the experts at Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic to provide collaborative, interdisciplinary cognitive health care. She offers customized treatment for a wide range of conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental delays, learning disorders, neurocognitive dysfunction, and medical complications. 

    A native of South Florida, Dr. Zubillaga earned her doctor of psychology with a focus on pediatric neuropsychology from Albizu University in Miami. During her doctoral education, she conducted research on the assessment of neuropsychological functioning in children, adolescents, and adults presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders. She also received clinical training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, as well as Baptist Hospital in Miami. 

    After completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Zubillaga relocated to California to complete an APA-accredited internship in clinical psychology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and takes pride in working closely with patients and their families to provide outstanding care, educational resources, and practical solutions to alleviate their concerns.

  • Rachael Little, M.Sc.

    Rachael Little, MSc, is an associate professional clinical counselor and an associate marriage and family therapist with extensive training and experience in neurofeedback and neuromodulation. She also provides assessment and psychotherapy to children, individuals, couples, and families at Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic in Palo Alto, California.

    Ms. Little applies her skills to address a broad range of conditions. Patients trust her expertise for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and traumatic brain injuries.

    An experienced lecturer, Ms. Little has presented on the evolving field of neurofeedback at numerous conferences across the United States. She earned her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Canada. Ms. Little then completed her Master of Science through the clinical psychology/marriage and family therapy/licensed professional clinical counselor program at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. 

    Prior to joining Abbey Neuropsychology Clinic, Ms. Little provided care for children and adults in community-based mental health settings around the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • Natasha Gupta graduated with a degree in Neuroscience. She is our Director of Operations and has a wide breadth of experience working with children and adults from varying cognitive backgrounds in multiple forms of Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, and learning programs such as CogMed Working Memory Training, Interactive Metronome, and LearningRX. She strives to integrate skill and brain-based training in order to provide help for children and adults with attention difficulties, learning disabilities, executive function weaknesses, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, memory challenges, and traumatic brain injuries. This multi-modal approach furthers her commitment to helping individuals of all abilities achieve a greater feeling of wellness.

    Charlotte Moss graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.Sc. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Psychology. She has experience working with clients of all ages who are seeking help with attention deficits, anxiety, depression, Autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injuries, concussions, and memory loss. Charlotte is trained in Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, Learning Rx, and CogMed to help promote higher brain functioning and increase overall wellness.

  • Victoria Trebbi graduated with a degree in Psychology and Education from Stetson University. She works with individuals of all ages and different cognitive backgrounds utilizing Neurofeedback and an interactive learning program such as LearningRX. She provides various forms of cognitive training to help individuals with attention, anxiety, memory deficits, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities. This all-inclusive approach allows her to help individuals reach their overall goals.

    Katy Sanchez graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Psychology and Education. She has experience working with clients of all ages who are seeking help for anxiety, traumatic brain injuries, concussions, memory loss, mood disorders, and Autism Spectrum disorder. Katy is trained in Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, and LearningRx, in particular working with individuals who have reading difficulties.

  • Arianna Brooks graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is one of our cognitive trainers and works with individuals of all ages and cognitive backgrounds. She is trained in Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, and Learning Rx. Arianna is also experienced in vision training, sports recovery and optimization, virtual reality, and other mind-body wellness programs at our Neurodynamic Center.

    Maria Carrera graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a B.A. in Neuroscience and minor in Business Innovation. She utilizes neurofeedback, cognitive training, and vision training to help people of all ages and backgrounds achieve their goals. At our Neurodynamic Center she works with clients to help them through recovery, optimization, and enhancement.

  • Rachelle comes to us from Ann Arbor, MI with more than 7 years of experience in vision, speech, and concussion rehabilitation. Rachelle created programs such as the move and learn program, visual training, and the concussion program enhancing brain function with movement and attention. With her background in vision and speech-language pathology, Rachelle has been able to help build the center to a more integrative multi-modal approach to learning and recovery. She has studied and worked with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), traumatic brain injuries, concussions and neurological disorders helping her understand the different needs of each patient. Rachelle is also a huge fan of playing basketball and advocates for enhancing visual skills to improve athletic performance.
